Support Analyst – 2nd/3rd Line Financial & Banking

About the role

This role provides 2nd and 3rd line support and systems administration for a core trading application used in financial and banking environments. You will work in a Linux‑based infrastructure, handling incidents from start to finish and ensuring smooth operation of market‑data and trade‑floor services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2nd/3rd line application support, including installation, configuration and upgrades.
• Own incident lifecycle, troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve them without unnecessary escalation.
• Administer Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Rocky) and maintain related services.
• Write, debug and optimise SQL code for performance across SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Support FIX protocol connections, market‑data feeds and client onboarding processes.
• Collaborate with networking teams to diagnose DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and firewall issues.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting aptitude and enjoyment of technical challenges.
• Proven experience in application support within banking or financial services.
• Solid Linux systems administration background.
• Hands‑on scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Perl, Bash, SQL).
• Deep knowledge of relational databases at DBA/developer level.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes; certifications are a plus.
