Support Engineer 2

About the role

The Support Engineer 2 will act as the primary point of contact for Oracle customers, handling inquiries via phone, email or other electronic channels. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to assigned Oracle products while collaborating with internal teams to improve support processes.

Key responsibilities

• Field customer requests, provide technical assistance, and resolve known product issues.
• Document service requests, create Knowledge Base articles and troubleshooting guides.
• Work with internal teams to report and help resolve design, reliability and maintenance problems.
• Participate in a 24/7 shift schedule, including rotating overnight on‑call duties.
• Leverage automation and AI tools to identify root causes and suggest process enhancements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in technical or application support with a customer‑facing focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
• Willingness to undergo UK Government Security Vetting.

Required skills

• Linux command‑line troubleshooting, log analysis, process and permission management.
• Database querying, performance and connectivity diagnostics, error interpretation.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and environments.
• Experience with automation or AI‑assisted tooling.
