Support Worker – Adult Learning Disabilities (Full‑time)

About the role

Join Avenues Group as a Support Worker in Saffron Walden, helping adults with learning disabilities live fulfilling, independent lives. You will work within a small, close‑knit team, providing personalised care and encouraging community participation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Facilitate social outings, community engagement and connections with family and friends.
• Support financial management and budgeting tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment, including shopping for essentials.
• Drive a manual mobility vehicle when required, holding a full UK driving licence.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Willingness to work varied shift patterns (7 am‑2 pm, 2 pm‑10 pm, day shifts, sleep‑ins).
• Full UK driving licence and ability to operate a manual vehicle.
• Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.

Required skills

• £25,845 per annum (pro‑rated), full‑time, 39 hours/week.
