Support Worker – Adults with Disabilities

About the role
Join Avenues Group in Alton as a Support Worker helping adults with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy or physical disabilities live independently and enjoy a fulfilling daily life.
Key responsibilities
- Assist clients with everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking, and managing money.
- Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
- Encourage social interaction with friends, family and the wider community.
- Support clients in using their own cars for outings when drivers are available.
- Use Makaton communication techniques and help wheelchair users as required.
Required profile
- Compassionate and reliable individuals, new to care are welcome.
- Willingness to use a personal vehicle for client transport (drivers preferred).
- Experience with Makaton or supporting wheelchair users is desirable but not mandatory.
Required skills
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a car.
- Basic knowledge of Makaton sign language.
- Ability to safely support wheelchair users.

- £12.71 per hour on a 0‑hour contract with flexible, part‑time hours.
