Support Worker – Care for Disabled Children & Adults

About the role

The Birtenshaw Group is seeking compassionate Support Workers to assist disabled children and adults in our Bromley Cross locations. You will join a dedicated team delivering personalised care in children’s homes or adult supported tenancies.

Key responsibilities

• Support up to four individuals with Autism Spectrum Conditions, learning disabilities or complex health needs, providing personal care, medication assistance and daily living support.
• Work on a rotating schedule of 37 hours per week, including weekends, bank holidays and occasional sleep‑ins, with night‑shift options available.

Required profile

• Full, manual UK Category B driving licence with demonstrable experience (optional for transport duties).
• Commitment to safeguarding, willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and other pre‑employment screenings.

Required skills

• NVQ level relevant to care (or equivalent) to be achieved within two years, fully funded by the employer.
• Valid UK manual driving licence for roles involving transport of service users.

• Competitive salary £26,682–£27,129 per year, plus extra pay for driving, night shifts and additional responsibilities.
