Support Worker – Care for Residents with Learning Disabilities

About the role
Prime Life is seeking compassionate Support Workers to join the team at Gilby House Nursing Home in Winterton. You will provide dignified, person‑centred care to 22 residents living with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and physical disabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver respectful, dignified support to each resident.
- Encourage independence and participation in daily activities.
- Provide companionship, emotional support and practical assistance.
- Assist with personal care, recreational activities and outings.
- Support residents during meals and promote self‑reliance in food preparation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to develop individual care plans.
Required profile
- Genuine caring nature with a desire to improve residents' quality of life.
- Patience, understanding and respect for individual abilities.
- Willingness to learn; prior care experience is desirable but not essential.

What we offer
- Fixed shift patterns between 8 am and 8 pm, 7‑day week.
- Hourly rate £12.96‑£13.32 depending on qualifications.
