Support Worker – Community Care (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role

Avenues Group is looking for compassionate Support Workers to join its community care team in Eastry and Aylesham, Kent. You will help individuals with learning disabilities, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours to live fulfilling, independent lives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist service users with daily living activities, personal care and hygiene.
• Support participation in social and community outings, using mobility vehicles.
• Help manage finances, shop for groceries and keep homes clean and tidy.
• Provide encouragement and guidance during community activities and family visits.
• Drive service‑user vehicles safely; no night shifts are required.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Willingness to travel between Eastry and Aylesham.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts (morning, afternoon or evening) – nights are not required.
• Enthusiasm for supporting people with learning disabilities; prior social‑care experience is not essential.
