Support Worker – Crisis Team (Temporary Full‑Time)

About the role

Join a specialist crisis team delivering vital day‑to‑day support for vulnerable children and young people in residential settings. You will work alongside a close‑knit group of professionals, providing structure, safety and hope during periods of trauma and crisis.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and build trust with young people using creative, person‑centred approaches.
• De‑escalate heightened behaviours and maintain a safe environment.
• Support daily activities, appointments and family contact.
• Record accurate daily logs and incident reports to inform long‑term care plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months paid UK care experience, preferably in a residential setting.
• Calm, resilient and non‑judgemental attitude in crisis situations.
• Willingness to obtain or hold a DBS check on the update service.
• Driver’s licence and business insurance are desirable.

Required skills

• Proven de‑escalation techniques.
• PMVA training or willingness to undertake it.
