Support Worker – Full‑time

About the role

Join the caring team at Birchwood House & Birchwood Lodge in Lincoln as a Support Worker. You will help individuals with complex needs live as independently and confidently as possible, providing daily companionship, personal care and support to access community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person‑centred personal care and assistance with daily living tasks.
• Offer companionship and emotional support, encouraging new interests and life experiences.
• Support medication administration and monitor health needs.
• Assist with budgeting, shopping and household chores.
• Facilitate community outings such as swimming, social events and day trips.

Required profile

• Kindness, empathy and a genuine desire to improve others’ quality of life.
• Patience and a good sense of humour when supporting people through challenges.
• Willingness to undertake full training and specialist development.
• No prior experience required – commitment and a caring attitude are essential.

What we offer

• Starting hourly rate of £12.75, rising to £13.20 for enhanced complex‑unit work.
• Pay progression linked to Care Certificate and Level 2 NVQ completion.
