About the role
Join the caring team at Birchwood House & Birchwood Lodge in Lincoln as a Support Worker. You will help individuals with complex needs live as independently and confidently as possible, providing daily companionship, personal care and support to access community activities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide respectful, person‑centred personal care and assistance with daily living tasks.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, encouraging new interests and life experiences.
- Support medication administration and monitor health needs.
- Assist with budgeting, shopping and household chores.
- Facilitate community outings such as swimming, social events and day trips.
Required profile
- Kindness, empathy and a genuine desire to improve others’ quality of life.
- Patience and a good sense of humour when supporting people through challenges.
- Willingness to undertake full training and specialist development.
- No prior experience required – commitment and a caring attitude are essential.

What we offer
- Starting hourly rate of £12.75, rising to £13.20 for enhanced complex‑unit work.
- Pay progression linked to Care Certificate and Level 2 NVQ completion.
- £128 paid e‑learning before start date and access to Hastee Pay (up to 40% of earned pay).
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) plus a birthday day off and long‑service leave.
