Support Worker – Harlow

About the role

Support Workers are the heart of our community at St Mary’s Court, a flat‑based supported‑living service in Harlow. You will help adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs live independently in their own flats while sharing communal spaces. The role focuses on empowering residents to take charge of their lives and enjoy meaningful experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents in engaging with meaningful activities, leisure and social events.
• Support community participation and celebrate special occasions with residents.
• Communicate effectively, adapting to individual communication needs and helping residents express themselves.

Required profile

• Experience in the social‑care sector (e.g., Mental Health Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant) or a strong willingness to start a care career.
• Commitment to the values of empowerment, respect and person‑centred support.
