Support Worker – Help Adults with Learning Disabilities

About the role

Join Avenues Group as a Support Worker in Addlestone and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young adults with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours. You will work across three 24‑hour homes and support individuals in their own homes and the wider community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist adults with daily living tasks such as shopping, cooking, budgeting and personal care, always respecting dignity.
• Promote independence by encouraging participation in community activities and social connections.
• Support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy or physical disabilities to live safely and confidently.
• Drive to various locations using your own vehicle with valid UK manual licence and business insurance.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about helping others and willing to learn on the job.
• Full UK manual driving licence and own vehicle with appropriate business insurance.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Commitment to delivering person‑centred care with empathy and respect.

Required skills

• Valid UK manual driving licence.
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
