Support Worker

About the role

Join Cygnet’s Bury Hudson site to provide compassionate care to men with secure mental health needs, including personality disorders. You will work 12‑hour shifts across days, nights and weekends, delivering personalised support in a residential environment.

Key responsibilities

• Offer flexible, person‑centred care and emotional support to service users.
• Assist with daily living activities, medical and welfare needs, and report observations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, including communal areas such as the gym, kitchen and therapy garden.
• Safeguard service users and follow all health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Genuine desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Sensitive, intuitive and able to provide a trusting, stimulating environment.
• Willingness to attend a three‑week paid induction and undergo an enhanced DBS check.
