Support Worker

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a compassionate organisation based in Manchester that is seeking experienced Support Workers to join their team. The role involves delivering person‑centred care to individuals with diverse needs, helping them maintain independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support in line with personal care plans.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication support.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Build trusting relationships with service users and their families.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records and documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a support or care role (desirable).
• Genuine passion for helping others and making a positive difference.
• Warm, patient, and empathetic attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and shift patterns as needed.
• Willingness to obtain a valid DBS check.
• Full UK driving licence (desirable, not essential).
