Support Worker

About the role

We are looking for calm, resourceful individuals to join our friendly team in Ulverston, providing person‑centred care and support to tenants with learning disabilities and autism. The role involves helping people engage in everyday life, enjoy community activities and maintain independence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and support with dignity and respect.
• Assist with domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry.
• Facilitate community outings including walking, swimming and dining out.
• Support individuals who express needs through challenging behaviour, using a positive behaviour support framework.
• Work collaboratively within a consistent, supportive team ethos and follow agreed guidelines.

Required profile

• Positive communication and engagement skills.
• Ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for people with learning disabilities or autism.
• Willingness to work flexible rota including evenings, weekends and sleep‑ins.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and reside in the UK.
