Support Worker (Male Only) – Community Support

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated male Support Worker to provide personalised care for a young adult with severe autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour. The role involves supporting the individual in daily activities, community outings and recreational pursuits while ensuring safety and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany the person to cycling sessions, football training, matches and gym visits.
• Maintain a safe environment and support during difficult social situations.
• Assist with shopping, meal planning, budgeting and attending professional appointments.
• Provide emotional and practical support, especially during crises or anxiety episodes.
• Promote positive habits and choices.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with autism, ADHD or challenging behaviour (highly desirable).
• Compassionate, reliable and able to manage vulnerable individuals.
• Strong interpersonal skills for communication with the person and family.
• Willingness to work flexible day shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Experience with Oliver McGowan Training (preferred, training may be provided).
