Support Worker – Remote Island Placements (Full‑time)

About the role

Randstad Care is recruiting experienced Support Workers for block‑booked placements across the Western Isles, Argyll & Bute, Orkney and Shetland. You will provide essential care to vulnerable adults living in remote island communities, making a measurable difference to their wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care, including assistance with daily living tasks.
• Perform moving and handling duties safely.
• Administer medication in accordance with care plans.
• Work in homecare, residential care homes, or supported living settings.
• Travel between client homes using your own vehicle.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months UK‑based experience as a Support Worker.
• Proven competence in moving & handling, medication administration and personal care.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a car.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £19‑£26, dependent on experience and location.
• Full‑time stable placements ranging from 45 to 70+ hours per week.
• Minimum three‑month commitment with the possibility of longer terms.
