Support Worker – Residential Care (Southampton)

About the role

We are looking for caring, hands‑on Support Workers to join our residential service in Southampton. You will help individuals gain independence and enjoy a varied, dynamic day‑to‑day environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach new life skills and support personal care.
• Encourage participation in local community activities, socialising and outings.
• Organise and accompany residents to activities such as video games, cinema, swimming (including pool supervision).
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and respond to behaviours of distress.
• Drive a 7‑seater automatic vehicle for transport duties, including a weekly sleep‑in shift.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Resilient, flexible and composed.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories or trauma.
• Familiarity with Positive Behaviour Support and reflective practice.
