Support Worker – Residential Children’s Care

About the role

Join a well‑established children’s residential care provider as a Support Worker. You will help young people develop independence, safety, and emotional wellbeing while living in a supportive home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist children with daily routines such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and medication administration.
• Support attendance at appointments, outings, leisure activities and holidays.
• Follow behaviour support plans, risk assessments and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, report concerns and uphold strict confidentiality.
• Build person‑centred relationships as a Key Worker, involving children in decisions about their care.

Required profile

• Previous experience in residential or therapeutic child care (e.g., Support Worker, Key Worker, Care Assistant).
• Relevant health and social care qualification or willingness to obtain one.
• Understanding of child development, trauma and safeguarding practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries.
