Support Worker – Scottish Islands (Care Home & Community)

About the role
We are seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide high‑quality care across the Scottish Islands. You can work in residential care homes or deliver community‑based support directly in clients’ homes, enjoying the unique environment of Shetland, Orkney, the Western Isles or Argyll & Bute.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal care, administer medication and use safe moving and handling techniques for older adults in residential care homes.
- Visit multiple clients in their own homes across the islands, delivering care and support throughout the day.
Required profile
- Minimum of 1 year experience supporting older adults in a care setting.
- Ability to work alone and cover 45+ hours per week on a flexible schedule.
- Driving licence preferred for care‑home roles; mandatory for community roles with own vehicle.
- Previous experience in island or remote placements is highly beneficial.
What we offer
- Flat rate of £23 per hour on an umbrella contract.
- 3‑month minimum contracts with guaranteed 45+ hours per week.
