Support Worker – Supported Living

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic, kind and energetic Support Workers to join our learning disabilities support team in Newbury. You will help service users live independently in their own flats at Pelham House, encouraging participation in community activities and daily life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical, emotional and behavioural support to service users.
• Assist with household tasks such as cooking, bill payment and general home management.
• Deliver personal care and promote dignity and well‑being.
• Support service users to engage in outings, festivals, sports events and social activities.
• Build warm, trusting relationships and encourage independence.

Required profile

• Friendly, proactive and calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to go the extra mile for service users.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Required skills

• None specified – training will be provided.
