About the role
We are looking for caring, reliable and motivated Support Workers to provide person‑centred care to adults and young people across Surrey. The role involves helping service users live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice, wellbeing and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
- Support meal preparation, shopping and household tasks.
- Help service users attend appointments, community activities and pursue hobbies.
- Encourage independence, confidence and life‑skill development.
- Follow individual support plans, risk assessments and medication procedures.
- Observe and report changes in wellbeing or behaviour and maintain accurate daily notes and care records.
- Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality and health‑and‑safety policies.
- Collaborate with families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or Healthcare Assistant.
- Caring, patient and respectful attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
- Reliability, flexibility and good time‑management.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Relevant Health and Social Care qualification desirable (training may be provided).
- Full UK driving licence may be beneficial for some roles.
Required skills
- Basic medication handling (as trained).
