Support Worker – Temporary (3 months)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join a leading Supported Housing Complex team on a three‑month temporary contract. You will help individuals with complex needs, including substance misuse, to live independently and safely within their community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person‑centred assistance, tailoring support to each individual's goals and challenges.
• Build trusting relationships with service users, colleagues and partner agencies to ensure seamless care.
• Encourage participation in social, educational and employment activities to reduce isolation.
• Carry out risk assessments, maintain professional boundaries and follow safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Understanding of support needs and experience with support planning.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and manage risks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport.
• Accurate record‑keeping and basic computer proficiency.
• Comfortable working alone and as part of a team.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to work under pressure.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £15.34 plus holiday pay.
• 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern (Monday‑Sunday, 8 am‑9 pm).
