Support Worker – Young Males with Complex Needs

About the role

Prestige Staffing and Training Group Ltd is looking for dedicated Support Workers to provide person‑centred care for young males with complex needs and challenging behaviour in Coalway, South West England. You will help individuals achieve positive outcomes, maintain safety and develop independence in line with agreed care plans.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day support to young males, following individual support plans and risk assessments.
• Implement positive behaviour approaches, focusing on de‑escalation and engagement.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment and adhere to safeguarding policies.
• Promote routines, activity participation and skill development to encourage independence.
• Record observations, incidents and progress accurately.
• Work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team.

Required profile

• Valid full UK driving licence (essential).
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
• Experience with individuals who have complex needs or challenging behaviour (preferred).
• PBM or relevant behaviour management training (preferred; will be given preference).
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
• Calm, consistent approach in challenging situations.
