Supported Housing Officer – Hatfield

About the role

The Supported Housing Officer will work within a supported living environment in Hatfield, providing essential emotional and practical assistance to vulnerable tenants. This temporary‑to‑permanent position offers a varied shift pattern and the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients, delivering emotional and life‑skills support.
• Develop and maintain support plans and risk assessments with service users.
• Enforce tenancy conditions, address low‑level anti‑social behaviour and rent arrears.
• Provide budgeting advice and specialist guidance on rent arrears.
• Carry out regular estate inspections and advise tenants on benefit entitlements.
• Support tenants with tenancy‑related issues and manage void properties, including viewings and sign‑ups.

Required profile

• Experience supporting vulnerable or homeless client groups.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check (or recent check within 3 years).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic IT proficiency.

What we offer

• Pay up to £18 per hour (umbrella).
• 37.5 hours per week with mixed 8‑4 and 2‑10 shifts, including some weekends.
