Supported Housing Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join a well‑established residential support service in Abingdon. This hands‑on management position will involve leading a small team of Recovery Workers, influencing service delivery, and supporting staff through a period of change.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, support and develop a team of 4‑5 Recovery Workers.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, operational oversight and regular supervision.
• Coach and motivate staff to meet performance targets and quality standards.
• Support the implementation of new processes and help the team adapt to change.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external professionals to ensure effective support.
• Assist with safeguarding, risk management, incident handling and complaints.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation.
• Contribute to service improvement and identify operational enhancements.
• Support recruitment, induction and staff training.
• Deputise for the Service Manager when required.

Required profile

• Previous management or supervisory experience, preferably in a residential or supported‑housing setting.
• Ability to lead a small team through change and maintain engagement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality support services.

• Fixed‑term contract (6 months) with the possibility of extension or permanent placement.
• Salary range £30,000‑£35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
