Supported Housing Worker – Bridgwater

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supported Housing Worker to join our project in Highbridge, Bridgwater. You will help residents achieve independence and stability by creating a safe, welcoming environment and supporting them in daily life.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive, professional relationships with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies.
• Support the day‑to‑day running of supported accommodation, maintaining high service standards.
• Assist residents with move‑in documentation and settling in.
• Develop, implement and review individual support plans that promote independence.
• Write and update risk assessments, ensuring risks are managed.
• Manage an allocated caseload, delivering consistent person‑centred support.
• Help residents develop practical life skills, manage finances and prepare for move‑on accommodation.
• Lead or support group activities that promote wellbeing and community engagement.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with safeguarding, confidentiality and health‑and‑safety requirements.

Required profile

• Experience supporting individuals or working in a customer‑focused environment.
• Current, enhanced DBS check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays on a rota basis.
• Desirable: qualification in youth work, housing, social care or related field; experience in mental health, education or substance misuse.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £14.12 plus holiday pay, or £16.52 on an umbrella arrangement.
• Full‑time hours on a 4‑6 week contract with the possibility of extension.
