Supporting People on Probation Navigator

About the role

We are seeking a passionate individual to join our Supporting People on Probation team in Surrey. The role involves walking alongside people on probation, helping them rebuild their lives, relationships and confidence across several sites in Staines, Guildford and Redhill.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one support sessions and group interventions.
• Support emotional wellbeing, relationships and social reintegration.
• Work with Probation Practitioners on structured action plans linked to sentence requirements.
• Assist service users with practical tasks such as GP appointments and community activities.
• Prepare individuals for release from prison and resettlement into the community.
• Participate in creative interventions including music groups, allotments and sport.

Required profile

• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Passion for supporting behaviour change and rehabilitation.
• Resilience, empathy and a non‑judgemental approach.
• Confidence working within structured, accountable frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with professionals and service users.
