Sustainability Consultant – Energy (Bristol)

About the role

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Sustainability Consultant specialising in Energy to join a growing environmental consultancy in Bristol. The role focuses on delivering energy modelling, compliance and low-carbon advice for commercial building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with carbon and sustainability specialists to provide energy consultancy for commercial developments.
• Produce Part L compliance calculations and SBEM models.
• Issue Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Display Energy Certificates (DECs).
• Carry out TM54 operational energy assessments and act as a Non-Domestic Energy Assessor where required.
• Use DesignBuilder software to model building performance and advise clients on carbon-reduction strategies.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary sustainability projects and stay up-to-date with industry standards.

Required profile

• Background in building services engineering or environmental consultancy.
• Experience delivering Part L compliance, SBEM modelling and EPC/DEC production.
• Relevant qualifications such as NDEA or low-carbon consultancy credentials.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, hybrid environment.
