Swim Teacher

About the role
GLL is seeking enthusiastic Swim Teachers to join the team at Kings Hedges Learner Pool in Cambridge. You will deliver safe, engaging swimming lessons to a diverse range of pupils, from children to adults, helping them build confidence and essential water skills.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality group and one‑to‑one swimming lessons in line with the centre’s teaching standards.
- Maintain a welcoming, professional poolside environment for customers and the public.
- Ensure pupil safety, enforce relevant health and safety regulations, and follow safeguarding policies.
- Encourage enrolment in further courses and assist with new‑enrolments and re‑enrolments as directed by the General Manager.
- Record and report pupil progress and award achievements accurately.
Required profile
- STA Award or Certificate level, or Swim England Level 2 qualification.
- Ideally hold the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches.
- Good knowledge of health, safety legislation and child protection policies.
- Approachable, patient, and able to motivate pupils of all ages.
