System Administrator (Mainframe Automation)

About the role
We are looking for a System Administrator with strong experience in mainframe automation to join our IT team. The role focuses on supporting IBM z mainframe environments, ensuring smooth operation of automation tools and rapid incident resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and configure mainframe automation products such as OPS/MVS and IBM SA/NetView.
- Develop and maintain REXX scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Provide production support for IBM z systems, handling incidents, problems and change requests.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to meet agreed service deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using tools like Confluence, Jira and GitHub.
Required profile
- Proven experience with mainframe automation, preferably OPS/MVS or IBM SA/NetView.
- Strong ability to write and maintain REXX code.
- Good understanding of Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
