Systematic Trading Production Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading multi‑strategy hedge fund, is looking for a Production Engineer to support a mission‑critical, low‑latency trading platform. The role involves ensuring platform stability, rapid incident resolution, and seamless assistance to front‑office trading teams in a live market environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide production support for a high‑performance, low‑latency trading platform in a live trading environment.
• Monitor system health, trading workflows and platform behavior to detect issues quickly.
• Respond to production incidents, drive triage and resolution, and coordinate across trading, development and infrastructure teams.
• Assist front‑office users by investigating trading issues and answering workflow questions.
• Own and improve monitoring, alerting, telemetry and operational dashboards.
• Develop automation, runbooks and operational tools to enhance supportability and reduce risk.

Required profile

• Strong experience in production engineering, SRE or application support within real‑time or trading environments.
• Proven ability to support business‑critical systems with urgency and ownership.
• Deep understanding of monitoring, observability, alerting, incident management and root‑cause analysis.
• Experience supporting front‑office users in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across application and system behavior in a Linux environment.
• High attention to detail, operational discipline and focus on platform stability.
