Systems and Reporting Lead

About the role

The Finance team at University College Birmingham is seeking a Systems and Reporting Lead to maximise the effective use of its Agresso (Unit4 Business World) financial system. You will act as the primary point of contact for system functionality, providing expert guidance and driving continuous improvement during a cloud migration and broader finance transformation programme.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Agresso financial system, ensuring optimal configuration and performance.
• Provide first‑line support and expert advice to finance users across the university.
• Lead the design and implementation of system‑related process improvements.
• Collaborate with IT and finance stakeholders to support the cloud transition and related projects.
• Produce and maintain accurate financial reports and dashboards.

Required profile

• Proactive, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Solid understanding of finance processes and accounting principles.
• Previous experience working with Agresso (Unit4 Business World) or similar ERP systems.
