Systems Compute Software Engineer – Global Hedge Fund

About the role

Join a market‑leading global hedge fund as a Systems Compute Software Engineer. You will work within the server virtualization team to evolve the compute platform, driving performance, reliability and disaster‑recovery capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the virtualization strategy, optimizing resource utilization.
• Design, build and configure infrastructure solutions based on user requirements.
• Maintain self‑documenting, version‑controlled code and configuration repositories.
• Ensure robust disaster recovery and business continuity across the compute environment.
• Collaborate with platform users and cross‑functional teams to translate needs into effective solutions.

Required profile

• Strong programming ability in at least one language, preferably Python or Go.
• Hands‑on experience in high‑performance, Linux‑based environments.
• Solid understanding of computer networking, routing and firewall concepts.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Professional experience with Kubernetes and enterprise‑grade virtualization platforms.
