Systems Engineer – Onsite IT Support in London

About the role

Atlas Technica is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its growing Support team in London. This hands‑on position provides onsite IT support, troubleshooting, systems administration and escalation assistance for hedge‑fund and investment‑firm clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical assistance and resolve support tickets for end‑users.
• Troubleshoot Windows, Office, desktops, laptops, mobile devices and Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Teams, Entra ID).
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and endpoint‑management technologies.
• Diagnose networking, virtualization, security and infrastructure issues.
• Escalate complex problems and collaborate with senior engineers.
• Maintain accurate documentation, ticket notes and follow strict change‑control procedures.
• Participate in advanced support projects as technical capability grows.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in desktop support, systems engineering or related IT roles.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑first attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced support team.
• Willingness to work full‑time onsite in the London office.

• Microsoft 365 suite – Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Teams, Entra ID.
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy.
• Endpoint protection solutions such as Sophos.
• Virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and basic cloud exposure (Azure, AWS).
• Networking fundamentals – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN, routing, switching, wireless, firewalls.
