T2 Vehicle Technician

About the role

Join Halfords Autocentres as a Vehicle Technician, where you’ll have the chance to gain an MOT Tester licence with full support and a salary uplift on successful completion. You’ll work five days a week in a busy garage environment, performing both routine servicing and complex repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out clutch and timing belt replacements, and diagnose electrical, braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Perform MOT tests to DVSA standards once qualified.
• Deliver advanced diagnostics, complex repairs and routine servicing to keep vehicles road‑ready.
• Maintain high quality standards across all maintenance and repair work.

Required profile

• Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Minimum four years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in a workshop.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than nine penalty points.
• Willingness to undertake MOT Tester training and qualification.
