Talent Acquisition & HR Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Talent Acquisition & HR Officer to join a respected professional services organisation operating across Devon and Somerset. The role is fixed‑term (September 2026 – January 2028) and offers hybrid working, allowing you to split your time between office locations and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle – from advertising vacancies and sourcing candidates to offers and onboarding.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and provide expert recruitment advice.
• Coordinate interviews, assessments and candidate communications to ensure an outstanding candidate experience.
• Maintain recruitment administration in line with GDPR and employment legislation.
• Develop relationships with recruitment agencies, education providers and external organisations to support attraction initiatives.
• Represent the business at career fairs, schools, colleges, universities and recruitment events.
• Maintain and develop the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and support managers in its effective use.
• Coordinate onboarding activities, including references, compliance checks and induction plans.
• Support wider HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including leaver processes and employee relations.
• Produce recruitment and HR reports, analyse data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Passionate about recruitment and eager to deliver a high‑quality candidate experience.
• Experienced recruitment or HR professional capable of managing end‑to‑end hiring processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple sites.

Required skills

• Applicant Tracking System (ATS) proficiency.

• Competitive salary of £33,150 per year.
