About the role

We are looking for an ex-forces Tank Operator to join a multinational defence contractor in South West England. The role involves operating the new Challenger 3 tanks, supporting maintenance and taking part in live‑firing trials while enjoying a balanced 37.5‑hour week and extensive overtime opportunities.

Key responsibilities

Operate and maneuver Challenger 3 armoured vehicles.
Assist with routine and corrective maintenance of tanks.
Participate in live‑firing tests and trial new equipment.
Provide hands‑on technical expertise to support the client’s contract.

Required profile

Current or former member of the armed forces.
Experience with Challenger 2 or similar armoured platforms.
Willingness to work on‑site with no weekend shifts.
Commitment to health and safety standards.

Required skills

Challenger 3 operation.
Challenger 2 experience.
Vehicle maintenance and repair.

What we offer

Salary £46,000 – £50,000 per year.
