Tax Accountant

About the role

Our client is looking for a detail‑oriented Tax Accountant to prepare, review and file corporate, partnership and individual tax returns while ensuring full compliance with all relevant tax legislation. The role requires strong analytical abilities and the capacity to work accurately under tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate, partnership and individual tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations.
• Review financial records, statements and accounting reports for accuracy.
• Calculate tax liabilities and identify opportunities for tax savings.
• Assist with tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.
• Maintain accurate tax records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions and reports.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate impacts to management.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors or advisors.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities as required.

Required profile

• ACCA or CTA qualified / part‑qualified.
• Proven experience in tax accounting or public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
