Tax & Accounts Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Tax & Accounts Manager to lead accounting and tax compliance for a professional services firm based in Hailsham. You will ensure accurate financial management and deliver expert tax advice to a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for a varied range of clients.
• Oversee tax compliance, including self‑assessment, VAT and corporate tax returns.
• Provide tailored tax planning and advisory services.
• Ensure adherence to UK accounting standards and regulations.
• Review financial statements and recommend improvements.
• Support and train junior team members.
• Communicate directly with clients to address queries and build relationships.
• Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Professional accounting or tax qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Practical experience in account preparation and tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of UK accounting and tax regulations.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confidence in reviewing and improving financial processes.
