Tax Advisor – Advisory Role in Liverpool

About the role

Join a leading independent accountancy and advisory firm as a Tax Advisor in Liverpool. You will work closely with experienced tax specialists and partners, providing advisory‑focused tax support to a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, high‑net‑worth individuals and complex transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advisory services to owner‑managed businesses and their shareholders.
• Advise high‑net‑worth individuals and families on personal tax planning, inheritance tax and succession planning.
• Support corporate restructures, group reorganisations and business planning initiatives.
• Work on company sales, acquisitions and other transactional tax assignments.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex advisory projects and identify tax planning opportunities.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified tax professional (studying or fully qualified).
• Previous experience within a practice environment, preferably with exposure to private client or owner‑managed business tax work.
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills, ambitious and proactive.
• Genuine interest in working with entrepreneurial businesses and private clients.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of corporate, personal and inheritance tax legislation.
• Ability to analyse complex tax issues and deliver commercially focused solutions.
• Excellent client‑facing and communication abilities.
