Tax Advisor – OMB (Full Advisory)

About the role

Our client, a market‑leading accountancy and tax advisory firm, is expanding its OMB team in Liverpool. The Tax Advisor will work on full‑advisory reports, providing specialist guidance across a range of tax areas for corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advisory reports on income tax, capital gains tax, EMI and EIS matters.
• Assess Enterprise Investment Scheme eligibility, prepare advance assurances and compliance statements.
• Evaluate share‑scheme tax implications, advise on option grants and prepare valuations.
• Manage and train junior team members, coordinate workflow and ensure quality delivery.
• Respond to ad‑hoc tax queries from clients and colleagues.
• Conduct technical tax research, monitor legislative changes and share insights across the firm.
• Support creation of technical and marketing material for internal and external use.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation, particularly income tax, CGT, EMI, EIS and related schemes.
• Experience in a senior advisory or managerial tax role, with people‑management responsibilities.
• Ability to produce clear, concise advisory reports and memos.
• Commitment to staying up‑to‑date with tax reforms and budget updates.
