Tax Associate Director (Private Client)

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Tax Associate Director to join a rapidly growing firm in Cambridge. You will work with high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs, agricultural clients and trusts, delivering sophisticated tax advice and building long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs.
• Support Partners and Directors on tax planning initiatives, including succession, capital gains and inheritance tax.
• Collaborate with Accounts and Corporate Tax teams to provide integrated solutions.
• Review and oversee compliance work and advisory tasks performed by junior staff.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for new engagements.
• Mentor junior team members, providing feedback and supporting their professional development.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification together with CTA.
• Proven experience in private client tax matters and complex tax planning.
• Ability to communicate technical tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Experience in managing and developing junior staff.
