Tax Director – Private Client Advisory

About the role

Join a growing chartered accountancy practice in Wells as a Tax Director, leading the private client tax advisory function. You will work with a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals, directors of owner‑managed businesses, and property investors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal tax and advisory services across a wide range of issues, including IHT, EIS, share schemes and CGT.
• Front‑line client interaction, overseeing the provision of advisory services.
• Lead and develop the tax team, driving service innovation and quality.
• Build and nurture relationships, networks and contacts to expand the firm’s tax offering.
• Manage a smaller element of compliance work where required.

Required profile

• At least senior tax manager level or current associate director/tax director.
• Qualified ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA or STEP.
• Experience in top‑tier, mid‑tier or independent accountancy firms.
• Ambitious, seeking a long‑term career progression within a growing practice.
