Tax Director/Partner

About the role

This senior position sits at the heart of a growing advisory‑led tax practice in South Manchester. You will work closely with owner‑managed businesses, entrepreneurs and high‑net‑worth individuals, providing clear, commercially‑focused tax advice and shaping the future direction of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality technical tax advice across a broad range of client matters.
• Advise on UK tax issues for private clients, owner‑managed businesses and corporate structures.
• Identify tax risks and planning opportunities and produce clear written recommendations.
• Act as a trusted adviser to clients and internal stakeholders, managing selected client relationships.
• Support and mentor colleagues on technical tax matters.
• Contribute to business development through thought leadership and technical input.

Required profile

• CTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in UK tax advisory work.
• Strong technical expertise in one or more areas such as private client, owner‑managed business, corporate or international tax.
• Proven ability to deliver well‑reasoned technical advice.
• Commercially aware with a pragmatic problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
