Tax Manager – Financial Services Corporate Tax

About the role

KPMG’s Financial Services Corporate Tax team is seeking a Tax Manager to lead advisory and compliance work for a portfolio of banking, insurance and asset‑management clients across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver corporate tax advisory engagements, including Pillar Two advisory work.
• Manage and review tax compliance and reporting for financial services clients.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and commercial arrangements.
• Lead and develop project teams, mentor junior staff and undertake performance management.
• Conduct technical research and provide detailed tax advice.
• Support business development and collaborate with the wider practice to grow the client portfolio.

Required profile

• Manager‑level experience with a strong knowledge of UK corporate tax.
• Ability to manage client work, maintain financial discipline and identify additional service opportunities.
• Experience in team leadership and development, including mentoring junior colleagues.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to interact directly with senior clients.
• Interest or experience in the financial services sector is desirable but not essential.
