Tax Manager

About the role

Armstrong Knight, a well‑established accountancy practice in Loughton, is seeking an experienced Mixed Tax Manager. You will manage a varied portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals, owner‑managed businesses and corporate entities while developing advisory services and supporting junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a mixed portfolio of clients including HNWIs, SMEs and corporate entities.
• Oversee and review personal and corporate tax compliance.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services across a range of areas.
• Handle complex tax matters such as Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and business restructuring.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify business development opportunities.
• Mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Collaborate with Partners on ad‑hoc advisory projects.

Required profile

• CTA qualified (PQ CTA or ATT) or ACA/ACCA with strong tax experience.
• Proven experience at Manager level within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of both personal and corporate tax.
• Experience working with SMEs and high‑net‑worth clients.
• Confident communicator with excellent client‑facing skills.
• Commercially aware and proactive.
