Tax Manager

About the role

A leading accountancy firm is looking for an experienced Personal Tax Manager to manage a varied portfolio of private clients, deliver high‑quality compliance and advisory services, and grow within a respected practice.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with Tax Principals and team members to achieve results and foster a collaborative environment.
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored tax solutions.
• Prepare personal, partnership and trust tax returns for complex clients.
• Review tax returns, advice and technical work prepared by junior staff.
• Identify tax planning opportunities, advise clients and support implementation.
• Assist with HMRC enquiries and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and principals on ad‑hoc advisory projects.

Required profile

• CTA qualified (essential) with 2+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience gained within an accountancy practice.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to manage junior members.
• Capable of handling a client portfolio, delivering compliance work and spotting planning opportunities.
• Up‑to‑date technical tax knowledge demonstrated through recent training.
