Tax Manager – Mixed Portfolio (Hybrid)

About the role

We are working with a well‑established accountancy practice in Loughton that seeks an experienced Mixed Tax Manager to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware tax professional to own a varied portfolio while developing advisory services and supporting junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients including HNWIs, owner‑managed businesses, and corporate entities.
• Review and oversee personal and corporate tax compliance.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services across a range of areas.
• Support complex tax matters such as CGT, IHT, and restructuring.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and business development.
• Mentor and review the work of junior staff.
• Work closely with Partners on ad‑hoc advisory projects.

Required profile

• CTA qualified (PQ CTA or ATT) or ACA/ACCA with strong tax experience.
• Proven experience within a practice environment at Manager level or ready to step up.
• Strong technical knowledge across both personal and corporate tax.
• Experience working with SMEs and HNW clients.
• Confident communicator with strong client‑facing skills.
• Commercially aware and proactive in approach.
