About the role
This permanent Tax Manager position is based in Carlisle within a family‑run accounting practice that has been operating for over a century. You will become the go‑to technical expert for a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, with a clear pathway to directorship within three years and the possibility of a four‑day working week.
Key responsibilities
- Efficiently manage a portfolio of personal tax clients.
- Provide comprehensive advice on tax compliance and tax planning.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and deliver commercial solutions.
- Maintain high standards of client service across a range of industries.
Required profile
- Current Tax Manager or equivalent with practice experience.
- Strong interpersonal and client‑facing abilities.
- Aspiration to progress to a director role.
