Tax Partner Designate

About the role

TPF Recruitment is partnering with a leading firm of chartered accountants to find a Tax Partner Designate for their Gravesend office. The role can be tailored to personal tax, corporate tax, or a blend of both, offering significant autonomy over a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement personal and corporate tax‑efficient strategies for clients.
• Provide advice on complex UK and international tax issues, including cross‑border structuring, deal tax, R&D, EIS, capital allowances, dividend planning, CGT, trusts, non‑domicile status, VCT and IHT.
• Oversee and mentor a team of junior tax staff, ensuring high‑quality work delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with Tax Partners to grow the practice and expand advisory services.
• Engage with local referrers and external parties to generate new business opportunities.
• Present tax concepts in a clear, non‑technical manner to clients and conduct workshops or internal training sessions.

Required profile

• CTA or ACA qualified (or equivalent).
• Proven experience at Tax Manager or Associate Director level within a busy professional practice.
• Demonstrated passion for working with public and third‑sector clients.
• Strong client‑facing experience with a track record of managing a busy portfolio.
• Ability to build and nurture client relationships to generate fee‑paying work.
